Wiz-bang updates in Google Translate

Posted by Nick Gaydos on 18 Nov 2009
Google released some new wiz-bang features in Google Translate this week.

If you haven't used it yet, Google Translate offers machine translations between 51 different languages and will automatically translate typed text and web pages.

  • The "Translate" button is gone and now it translates as you type.
  • If you translate one of these 51 languages into English, you can listen to audio of the translation. For non-English speakers, this is a great learning tool.
  • Can't read Japanese? You can now "show romanization" and read phonetically!
